This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and practices of fundraising and development for nonprofit organizations. Students will explore essential fundraising models such as annual giving, major gifts, and planned giving, while learning about the growing role of digital tools in donor engagement. Emphasis is placed on understanding how to build and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners. The course also highlights strategies for aligning fundraising efforts with an organization’s mission and long-term sustainability.
