Independent biblical counseling certification is an important pathway for biblical counselors seeking credibility, accountability, and ministry readiness. This course prepares students to complete the first two phases of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) certification process: the learning phase and the theology exam phase. Students engage curated ACBC instructional content and assigned readings to deepen their theological and methodological foundations for biblical counseling. The course culminates in guided preparation for the ACBC theology exam, which requires written responses to core doctrinal and counseling questions. Students who desire to pursue ACBC certification beyond this course may complete the supervision phase directly through ACBC.
