This course is designed to prepare students with a theological foundation for their careers or ministry to people with disabilities. Students study various historical and contemporary theological lenses through which the Bible is interpreted to understand disability. They will also analyze the problem of pity, the role of compassion, and the limits of empathy in careers within the disability community. Finally, they will examine how the redemptive work of God translates into a professional or ministry workspace.
