This course Introduces concepts of fitness for living. A personal fitness evaluation and planned program for fitness are included.

PEN210 Outdoor Living Skills

The purpose of this course is to help students become actively involved in outdoor pursuits and to braid those pursuits together with the governing values and purposes in their lives. The focus is not to add something new to a busy student's life, but to assist them in integrating ministry passion, fitness activity and outdoor pursuits. If we are successful we will see students who are involved in moving people toward godliness while establishing quality fitness habits all in the context of enjoyable outdoor activities.

PEN220 Recreational Activities

This course is designed to instruct students in the development, organization, execution, and supervision of recreational group activities for fun and fitness. Activities may include lawn games, aerobics, orienteering, backpacking, and various group games that may or may not be sports related.

PEN251 Canoeing

A hands-on study of canoeing skills for a variety of conditions, including flat water and moving water canoeing, taught though a series of outings. The student will acquire basic principles, techniques and safety procedures for handling a canoe under a variety of recreational conditions.
