At Anchor Christian University, we are a global community of Christ-followers, anchored in the hope of Jesus (Hebrews 6:19), committed to living out our faith with integrity, humility, and love. Together, we seek to amplify the mission of the local church by becoming biblically grounded, faith-driven, and servant-hearted leaders in every context God places us.
As a learning and ministry community, we joyfully commit to pursuing personal holiness, fostering a Christ-honoring environment, and encouraging one another toward spiritual growth and maturity. We believe that the Scriptures are our final authority (2 Timothy 3:16-17), guiding every aspect of our lives, relationships, and ministries.
We believe deeply in the central role of the local church as God’s primary vehicle for disciple-making and spiritual growth. As students, faculty, and staff, we actively participate in and submit to the leadership of our local churches, seeking accountability, encouragement, and opportunities to serve. We recognize that our education at Anchor serves to support and amplify the disciple-making work of the church, not to replace it. Therefore, we commit to remaining faithfully engaged in our local church communities as we grow in knowledge and ministry leadership.
In this shared commitment, we choose to:
- Live lives marked by truth, honor, purity, and love (Philippians 4:8).
- Use media, technology, and entertainment in ways that reflect Christ-like discernment.
- Abstain from behaviors that compromise our testimony or hinder the spiritual growth of others, including the abuse of alcohol, tobacco, non-medicinal drugs, gambling, occult practices, and other activities inconsistent with biblical principles.
- Pursue modesty in dress and integrity in our words and actions, striving for unity and peace in all relationships (Ephesians 4:1-3).
- Partner wisely in ministry, maintaining the freedom to teach and live the whole counsel of God with clarity and conviction.
As members of the Anchor community, whether learning locally or globally, we accept the responsibility to support one another in our shared mission of disciple-making and Kingdom leadership. We understand that participation in this covenant reflects a personal commitment to grow in Christlikeness and to represent ACU and the body of Christ with humility, love, and faith.
